Cantonese Tools

jyutping

Cantonese to Jyutping

This web app converts Chinese characters into Jyutping pronunciation guide. I use this tool extensively when creating the song sheets. However, since Cantonese is a homophonous language the same character often has multiple pronunciation. However, this app is not able to handle that and the uses has to proof read to make sure the correct Jyutping pronunciation is generated. If the wrong Jyutping pronunciation is generated, I use the next tool to help find the correct romanization.
